Fencing summer camps in Texas
Summer camp is the single best way to try fencing, kids get a full week of coaching, gear provided, and usually a bout or two by Friday. Here's what to expect and which Texas academies run them.
What a fencing camp is like
- All gear provided, nothing to buy. Just athletic clothes, closed-toe shoes and a water bottle.
- Beginners welcome, most camps are built for first-timers, mixing footwork games, blade work and supervised bouting.
- Day camps, by the week, typically half- or full-day, ages ~7-15, often with an advanced track for experienced fencers.
- A low-cost way to find out if your kid loves it before committing to a season.
